Osbourne Road, Southsea

17th June

Monday, Kita and I got the keys to our new flat in Southsea and my, it felt so good to be there again. Perhaps it was just the glorious sunshine or the excitement of a new place to live but it felt a hundred times better a place to be than Reading.

The flat’s pretty much as we’d been promised (just waiting on a shower to be fitted at the moment) and everything seems to have gone smoothly. I’ll be honest I was expecting something to go wrong or to cost us more than I’d originally thought.

Now it’s just a case of moving out of Reading and cleaning Centurion Close. I’ve boxed a fair bit of the house already and so this evening I’ll be loading the first van full. All being well the majority of our stuff will be in our new flat by the end of the weekend.

Toni thanks for the offer, only just seen your comment though! In the end we had plenty of hands and I’m happy to report we got about 75% moved in :-)
