Shrove Tuesday

24th February

First off, it’s pretty sweet being close to my parents place again. I enjoy spending time with then and to be able to pop back this evening for pancakes is pretty cool, especially seeing as I’ve missed out on my Mum’s for the last couple of years.

Anyway, it’s Shrove Tuesday and whilst I tend not to be religious in the typical sense of the word lent is the one time of the year that for the last 5+ years I’ve tried to make something of. Not in a Christian type way for a lot of it, but more as a test to myself I guess. Before I’ve given up chocolate, beer, those kinds of things.

This year though, I think it might have to be a more Godly orientated thing, I think I need it. My plan is to get up 20/30 minutes earlier in the morning, read the Bible (haven’t picked it up in far to long) and pray.

That’s the plan, any prayer in support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Go for it!

So much better than giving up nice food.

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.
