Cold start to the day

Couldn’t get over how chilly a start to the day it was. Car was frozen solid and all the door seals were frozen shut, took a good ten minutes before I could get into it :(

All the snow that fell last night (I’ll put some photo’s up later) was frozen solid onto the bodywork, was almost like my car had been abducted and taken for a brief trip to the North pole last night! Since being in Portsmouth for the last couple of years I’ve forgotten how cold it can be in land. Not Canadian cold but still having to de-ice the car!

Anyway this post is mostly a diary entry, a reminder of snow in October, seems incredible.

Cold in-land? I’m sat in my house in Southampton with a hoodie, a jumper and shoes on! The coast is just as bad (if you can call Southampton coastal – it can’t decide where it is I think!).

re the person above, southampton is completely on the coast :)
but yea, also when you were in portsmouth surely you didnt have a car to notice whether it iced up or not? in romsey my mum spends most mornings deicing the car in winter

Will – Turn the heating on, I know you’re still a student but it’ll be money well spent!

Ineke – When I was commuting between Portsmouth and Southampton it was quite noticeable how much colder Southampton Central was compared to Fratton station.

I’m not entirely convinced Southampton is on the coast, coastal yes but not on the coast anything like Portsmouth or Bournemouth.

I had a car down in Portsmouth a good few times but even when I didn’t it was unusual to see cars frosted up down Stansted Road.
