Toni posted on Monday about how things we’re going, well not exactly great for Kita at Soul Survivor.

Money had been stolen from her tent, which really annoyed me as well. You’d think some places you would be safe and I could understand it more if she had left her purse in plain site but from what Kita has told me it was well hidden away in some bags. So someone has gone through her things, destroyed some personal stuff in her purse and, well yeah it wound me up.

Last year she went to Soul Survivor as a volunteer in the catering team and this year she got made a team leader, I’m guessing due to her age and experience. It sounds like being put in this position of authority, which has included having to get a little worked up at some people who plainly just didn’t want to be doing the volunteering and preferred a free holiday, has taken its toll. Being a team leader has meant going to extra meetings and the like and so she hasn’t been able to meet up with others in her team to find a space in the big tent etc. Also, it sounds like some in her team have taken the us and them theory. Now she is a team leader she’s not just part of the team etc, on reflection I think this was the bit that was getting her down the most.

Anyway, those were the two main things getting her down when really she could do with some healing and ministering.

Yesterday she didn’t/couldn’t call until gone 10pm and when she did I couldn’t get a word in edge-ways. She was saying how the team has rallied around and those who weren’t putting the work in had either left or had a change of heart. People they’d been praying for had become Christians at the evening meeting. The list went on and we had to cut the call short as someone she has met there wanted to talk and by the sounds of it this morning, talked a lot. It seems that by praying for others she has been ministered to at the same time and also that prayer for things to improve have really been answered.
