Well the sand did the trick, a lot less floor vibrations and although not massive’s of bass gain at low volumes however as the volume knob gets closer to 6 o’clock there is a significant difference. Mainly a punchier bass, hence the soundtrack to the Matrix came out! That reminds me, really should give that back to Luke when I’m next back!
So thanks for the advice, it paid off 
Although it was not without its sacrifices, sand is heavy and walking even just 10 minutes up the road to B & Q was hard, well the walk back was hard, very hard. In fact I think Ben and I could now both do with some kind of back board to straighten ourselves out!
